A Thoughtfully Reimagined Home in Collaboration with Karia Design Studio

This full-home renovation was a true transformation in every sense, blending structural redesign with refined, intentional interiors to create a home that feels elevated, timeless, and deeply livable. MAKE READY Design + Build had the pleasure of bringing this vision to life alongside one of our favorite collaborators, Karia Design Studio.
Working with Ashka and her team is always inspiring. Karia Design Studio has an incredible ability to create spaces that feel both sophisticated and welcoming — layered with warmth, texture, and thoughtful detail. Their design direction paired seamlessly with our approach to craftsmanship and construction, making this project an especially rewarding collaboration from start to finish.
Reimagining the Layout
One of the most transformative aspects of this renovation involved significant structural modifications throughout the home. By removing load-bearing walls, we were able to completely open the floor plan and create a more natural flow between living spaces.
The result is a home that feels brighter, more expansive, and effortlessly connected — designed for both everyday living and entertaining.
Elevated Kitchen & Bathroom Renovations
The kitchen and bathrooms were fully renovated with a focus on timeless materials, improved functionality, and elevated design details. Every finish and fixture was selected to feel intentional, refined, and cohesive with the overall vision of the home.
These spaces now balance beauty and practicality in a way that feels luxurious without sacrificing comfort.
Custom Millwork & Built-In Cabinetry
Throughout the home, existing built-ins and cabinetry were thoughtfully redesigned and updated to better complement the new architectural direction of the space.
The refreshed millwork adds depth, character, and functionality while creating a more custom, tailored feel throughout the interior.
New Flooring & Interior Finishes
To unify the home, all flooring was replaced and the entire interior was repainted, creating a clean and cohesive foundation for the renovation.
These updates completely refreshed the atmosphere of the home, allowing the architectural and design details to stand out while bringing warmth and continuity to every space.
Bringing in Natural Light
A standout architectural feature of the renovation was the conversion of existing windows into elegant French doors. This change not only introduced more natural light into the home, but also strengthened the connection between the interior and outdoor spaces.
The addition feels seamless — adding both sophistication and functionality to the overall design.
A Refined Staircase Transformation
The staircase and banister were also redesigned to better reflect the home’s updated aesthetic. The new railing detail creates a striking focal point while contributing to the clean, elevated feel carried throughout the renovation.
